9 Great Reasons To Help An Internet Marketing Newbie
Jeff Schuman
Zig Ziglar the famous self help guru was once quoted as saying "You can get everything you want in life if you help enough people get everything they want in life."
No where is this more true than on the internet and internet marketing. I remember when I first started looking into making money on the internet. What an overwhelming feeling. The internet is a big....big...big...world.
When you first get you started you are considered a "Newbie." A newbie is an affectionate term given to someone who is new to the internet and all of the geek speak that comes with trying to figure out how to use it.
Do your remember when you first ventured out in the online business world You probably had questions and problems along the way. Wouldnt it have been easier if you had help When a newbie asks for your advice, educate them; answer their questions and help them solve their online business problems. If you do not have the knowledge to help them out, point them in the right direction.
I have found forums as a great way to get information myself as I need it as well as a great place to help people who have particular questions.
Another great place to get help and to help others is Joe Robsons "The Newbie Club." The Newbie Club contains free computer and internet technical problem solving, plus free tutorials, free eBooks, free courses, free guestbooks, free autoresponders, free help and advice, a free newsletter, free affiliate program and a free membership.

Writing from Home: It Can Be Great and Not-So-Great for Mothers – Writing
Writing from Home: It Can Be Great and Not-So-Great for Mothers
Sarah Smiley
I went to school to be a teacher. In fact, I have a B.S. in Education, not journalism.
Due to the hours and holidays, teaching is traditionally thought to be the best work for a mother who wants to keep one foot in the mommy-door and one foot in the career-door. This thought, paired with my love for children and learning, led me to life inside the schoolhouse doors.
Soon though, writing, not teaching, became my real "full time job," and its been years since I set foot behind a teachers podium.
There are times I miss teaching and regret I havent used my diploma more, but who am I kidding -- freelance writing has to be the best situation for a stay-at-home mother: I get paid, I do something I love, and I dont leave the kids. Whats more I can stay in my pajamas all morning!
Sometimes people ask if the lack of structure and absence of a physical "office" bother me and make it hard to concentrate. Sure, I get sidetracked watching a great episode of Rolie Polie Olie with my son every now and then, and I take long, leisurely breaks to chat on the phone or go to lunch, but this isnt because I "work at home," its because Im an artist.
I only write when inspired and when it "feels right." Even if I sat behind a desk all day, Id still piddle around and get distracted -- its my nature to jump from project-to-project, then zero-in on a particular piece when the mood strikes me. This is the artist in me. Just as a painter cannot be told, "Paint, now!" a writer cannot sit in front of a blank screen and expect great things to flow.
My best pieces, in fact, are written while I do such things as stand in line at the grocery store and wait at a red light, or during a commercial break from Oprah.
As Im sure any artist can relate, I usually get a "feeling" when I have a great story brewing in my mind. This is, I think, the blessing and curse of creativity, because sometimes that "feeling" comes in the middle of a dinner party or at two oclock in the morning and I have to race to find paper and jot my thoughts down. My husband has grown accustomed to me running in the door, heading straight to the computer and yelling as I go, "Cant talk....got a story on my mind....need to get it on paper!"
So, while I love this profession for its adaptability with the children and being a mother, sometimes the unpredictable nature of my creativity poses a few problems. For instance, if inspiration causes me to stay up until 3 a.m. writing a great column, Im little use to my high-energy children a few hours later when they get up at the crack-of-dawn.
Yes, I have the luxury of lounging in my pajamas and not going to an "office," but I struggle with the spontaneous nature of this business and the chaotic schedule it sometimes poses for my children and me.
I guess though, even if things were different and my life was more structured, Id still be a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kind of girl...thats just the life of an artist.

You CAN Be a Great Salesperson! – Marketing
You CAN Be a Great Salesperson!
Terri Seymour
When you are in sales, you have the choice to be successful or unsuccessful. The only one to set limits on your income and success is you! A career in sales is a challenge. Use that challenge to motivate and excite you. Meet and beat that challenge!
There are five basic components to sales:
prospecting
making contacts
qualification
handling objections effectively
closing
Do not fall into the "natural-born salesman" myth. A lot of people feel if they do not take to these components naturally they wont be able to at all. Forget this myth! You can learn to be a great salesperson - the choice is yours!
Sales is a learning experience. You need to be always learning and reviewing. A very effective method of learning is repetition. Write it, read it, speak it, hear it, and learn it !!
Characteristics of a successful salesperson:
Appearance - make the most of your unique individuality and walk into a room with pride and a commanding presence. Take pride in your selling career and in yourself.
Confidence - You need to "glow" with a sense of self-confidence. Even if you are not the best in sales YET, you can be. Let this feeling of confidence show through to everyone you talk to.
Overcoming fear - Know your fear so you can face it and overcome it! Once you do this, the confidence will shine through.
Enthusiasm - In sales, sometimes you will get the sale and sometimes not. That is to be expected. The trick is to stay enthusiastic even when you do not get the sale. Do not let it bring you down. Keep that enthusiasm going for the next prospect!
Desire - You have to have the desire to succeed. If you have the desire, you can overcome any obstacle and become a success!
Do not take rejection seriously - In sales, there will be rejections. Do not let these rejections cause you to doubt yourself. Let them make you stronger and more enthusiastic for the next sale.
Caring and warmth - You need to actually care about your prospect and feel right about closing the sale. DO not try to bully people into buying. Lead them smoothly into a closing that will benefit them.
Continuing education - You need to always be learning. Invest some time and money into your mind and learn how to be the best salesperson you can be!
Great salespeople are not born great. They have the desire to become great. They take the time and invest in themselves and learn how to become great!
