Heres a hint. When he leaves the casino at the beginning of Dr. No he casually tips the doorman. Yes, hes free with his money. Hes also free with his compliments as he tips the craps dealers in Diamonds Are Forever, saying, Thank you gentlemen, for such a sterling service.
As he leaves the craps table, he then gives part of his winnings, $5,000, to Plenty OToole Lana Wood for rolling the dice for him, and continues walking without expecting anything in return.

So, if you want to be in the rare 6%, just carry over a hundred bucks in your money clip and wallet. But thats not even enough to take care of a sudden overnight trip.

Many will say that they are worried about being robbed, so they dont carry much cash. But anyone thats been robbed will tell you that he was glad to give something to the robber. On the lighter side, Wayne Newton told the story about a date he was on at Dennys in New York and he didnt have enough cash to pay the bill. So he kept telling the girl to order more and secretly called his brother to bring him some cash. It took an hour because it turned out that there were four Dennys on that corner, all with three floors. Waynes brother had to search every one of them. So Wayne had to really sweat it out until his brother arrived with the face saving cash. This sound funny, but not when youre in that situation yourself.
So now, How much cash does Bond carry Enough to get any sudden job or entertainment done without checking to see if the place hes going to takes credit cards.

In the Bond film Diamonds Are Forever we see James Bond confidently approach the craps table, call out a few choice bets, roll the dice, and collect his winnings under the admirering eyes of Lana Wood. Hey, she says, You handle those dice like a monkey handles coconuts.
Its great to appear the winner in a casino. Anyone can always win. Heres how:
Set a gambling budget just the same as you would set your hotel, food, and show budget. That money you set aside for the casino is already gone in your mind, just like your hotel and food money will be gone. If you stay on or under your gambling budget youre a winner. After all, youre in the casino to enjoy the games, not try to win money to pay your rent. Bond doesnt make money gambling, he makes it from his job.
If you enjoy the gaming on a budget youre a winner, win or lose. If youre trying to change your financial situation, then you are really gambling and may end up a loser.
So entertain your date with assorted games at various casinos, every once in a while slipping a twenty dollar bill into her slot machine to get her started. Shell tell everyone back home about you doing that. Now thats inexpensive PR.
Also be sure to get your date on the craps table at least once. Girls love to throw dice. And save your multiple bets for only when you or her are throwing the dice to conserve money when others are throwing and to increase her excitement and show off your expertise when you and her are rolling the bones.
